WHAT WE OFFER

We offer Microshading also known as Ombré Powder Brows training that is tailored to meet the needs of all students. Whether you are brand new to the brow industry or need some additional support. We are here to help you learn how to become an artist that can give others brows that they LOVE! This training is a 3 day intensive training course. Class will be held from 10-5pm. Curriculum includes but is not limited to:

Day 1: What you will need to start a PMU business , Functions & disorders of the skin, Color theory, Pigment theory, Choosing the correct pigments for Fitz 1-6, Pre-care, Consents & Release forms, Client Consultation, Aftercare, Healing process, Complications and potential risks, Shading techniques, & Needles theory. This is a virtual day of learning.

Day 2: Learn step by step instructions on different brow mapping techniques, shading and much more! This is a hands on Brow mapping and Shading Intensive. 

Day 3: Live model, you will bring and work on your own live models under Eboni’s direct supervision. Eboni will walk you step by step throughout your whole appointment with your model. We will also go over tray set-up, consultation, aftercare and much more. 

You’ll be provided a kit that includes a tattoo machine, needles, latex skins, comprehensive training manual, support after training, certified certification, model day and more! Lunch is provided on day 1. Each student will receive one-on-one instruction from Eboni who is a licensed Esthetician and PMU Educator with extensive training in permanent makeup taking multiple trainings over her 5 years of expertise. Students have traveled from around the United States and internationally to learn how to become an expert in Microshading from Eboni Academy. We can’t wait to train you to be the next expert Microhading Artist in your area!

FAQs

  • This training is for anyone who wants to love what they do and make a difference in other people's life. You don't need any experience in the beauty industry to succeed! Existing artists who would like to learn Eboni's signature Ombre Technique are welcome. This extensive hands-on training program allows students to fully understand how to create natural Ombre Brows. Students will learn permanent make-up theory, learn Eboni's mapping & technique, get hands-on help practicing skills, watch Eboni perform an Ombre brow service on a client, then students apply what they learned and create Ombre Brows on their model with Eboni's direct supervision!

  • No experience, permit, or license required for students to enroll in the beginner classes. Students must be 18 years or older to enroll into a class.

    For advanced training, there are prerequisites. Please contact eboni@ebonireneeartistry.com for more information.

  • Students will become certified and receive a certificate of completion at the end of the class.

  • A certification is different from a license.

    As a training academy, I provide students with a certificate of completion to demonstrate that you have taken the course and you have the knowledge to perform the service. However, I am not allowed to provide you with a license. Only your local health department is allowed to provide you with a tattoo license that will allow you to legally perform the service.

    In Georgia and this is only in some counties (different counties have different requirements), you need a body artist license in order to legally perform the service. In order to obtain the license here is what you need:

    1) Take a training and obtain your certification (which I will give you)

    2) Provide First Aid Certification (online-fee varies)

    3) Obtain your BBP (Bloodborne Pathogens) certificate by taking an online course. This 2 hour online course is required for every brow artist and the course teaches you proper basic health and safety practices. The course ranges from $30-50.

    4) Establish a place that you will be servicing clients at whether it be a room rental, bed rental, salon, or salon suite. You will need this address on your body art license application.

    5) Fill out a Body Art Practitioner form and submit it to the health department. You will need your ID and to pay a registration fee ($100-150). Once you complete the form, the health department will contact you to schedule an inspection of your location and you will receive your license in the mail!

    Every state and county rules vary. Please visit your local health department’s website for requirements and more information. A brow artist is commonly known as a body artist from the health department.

  • All in-person beginner and advanced training include a live model practice portion where students will be able to apply their new knowledge and skill on a real client. Students will be closely supervised and guided by an instructor during this portion. Students will be allowed and encouraged to take photos and videos for their portfolio for marketing purposes.

  • We recommend beginners with none to little experience to take in-person training to ensure they receive the proper hands-on training on a live model.
